So, let’s discuss a few steps to practice and enhance our love for ourselves!


  1. Stop Comparing yourself: - It’s a very common habit for all of us to compare our growth and body with others around us! However, what we forget is that your creation is solely yours and the artwork that you can create with your imagination will always be your unique work. 


  1. Positive Self-talk: - Being critical of ourselves becomes one of our natural responses to our mistakes. However, you always have the option to change the self-harming, negative talk into something positive and encouraging through daily practice.


  1. Mindful Eating: - Be aware and mindful whenever feeding your body with the ingredients of growth. Don’t eat too much or too little. Taking care of your body’s needs and wants is one of the biggest steps to enhance your love towards yourself.


  1. Don’t be too hard on yourself: - Amidst all the work that you do, give yourself that needed breather as and when required. Take frequent naps and breaks in between and break the monotony for yourself.


  1. Go on self-date: - If you want to have that daily coffee somewhere outside in a cafe today, don’t wait for a friend to take you out. Honor yourself by going out on a date with yourself. Buy yourself that chocolate that you have been ignoring for so many days!


  1. Gratitude Journal: - Instead of waiting for the validation and approval to come from outside, make it your habit to start and end your day with gratitude. Thank yourself for showing up each day and make a list of all that you did throughout the day and show that gratitude to yourself. Become that source of love and appreciation for yourself.


  1. Mirror Talking: - Look at yourself in the mirror and remind yourself daily of the beauty that you hold within and outside of you. It all starts with self. Once in a while, click selfies and take that step of accepting yourself at all the layers of your existence.
