What is depression?
Depression affects both thinking and acting patterns. One can easily identify a depressed person from the same. Depressive behavior includes

  •         Reduced interest in activities specially in activities.
  •       Difficulty in sleeping or excessive sleep patterns.
  •       Slowing down of psychometric skills for example slowing down of movement and speech or psychometric agitation where one starts pacing up and down.( Psychometric skills are skills where movement and thinking are combined. This includes things like balance and coordination. Psychometric skills are known to be negatively affected by depression. In depression, psychometric activities are less as the emotions makes one feel sluggish and weak.)  
  •           Feeling low level of energy.
  •           Low confidence and low self esteem because of procrastinating important work due to low interest and low energy.
  •       Absolutely no participation in social activities and staying aloof and not sharing thoughts and feelings to anyone.
  •       Self disapproval, guilt, blaming oneself and others.
  •       Feeling of rejection.
  •        Feeling suicidal.
  How to overcome depression ?
1) Art of letting go.
 Letting go off negative self talk, past traumas and beliefs that are no longer working in favor.

2) Anchoring the attention into present activities, keeping the future goals in perspective.
Involving in activities that uplifts the mood and excites about the future. Looking forward to future

      acts like a pull that adds momentum in life. Leaving no space for brooding over the past or current problems and feeling anxious about the future.
